Welcome to Essential Oils for Health
How I became interested in essential oils
I’ve been a chronic pain sufferer for the last 7 years. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it’s not a fun thing to have. I take medication for it, but I also exercise and try to eat right and wanted to find more natural ways to deal with it. I’ve also been a migraine sufferer for my whole life, and I take medications for that also. I’ve always wondered if maybe some of my pain might be due to inflammation from things I’m eating or environmental stressors, etc. So I decided to look into essential oils and see if they might help me. I’ll try anything if there’s a chance it might help.
Well, I bought a diffuser and I ordered some essential oils; lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, frankincense, and a couple others online. They made my house smell good, and when I turned the diffuser on at night, I wasn’t waking up with a killer headache. They definitely helped me to relax also, which is good since stress causes my pain to flare up. I also mixed a few drops of the frankincense with some coconut oil and used it as a moisturizer.
I’ve made lip balms and face washes with essential oils in them. I’ve even used them in my shampoo bottles. You just have to be careful because they are very concentrated and you don’t need very much. I always follow recipes or instructions I find.
If you can do it the natural way, it’s the best way.
I believe that essential oils can really be beneficial. But I think we should also be careful with them, always dilute them, and be aware of the quality of the product you’re buying. The FDA doesn’t certify or regulate essential oils. Knowledge is key, and we should all do our own research.
What I hope to accomplish
I would like to bring information and awareness of essential oils to you so you can decide if it might be a right choice for you. And if it’s something that you’re interested in, I’d hope you can find answers to some of your questions about them, or even have some advice of your own.
If you ever have questions or even suggestions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
